Description
Summary:碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 醫學工程暨材料研究所 === 100 === The bio-ceramics materials are calcium phosphate such as hydroxyapatite, and β-tricalcium phosphate. Among all, hydroxyapatite is the most common bone substitute material; nevertheless, the high temperature sintering procedure makes hydroxyapatite slower to degrade in the body. This weakness brings side effects to bone regeneration. In this study, Poly-L-lactide was twisted as a twisting yarn so as to enhance its mechanical strength. Its twisting structure allows hydroxyapatite and cells to adhere to. The Poly-L-lactide twisting yarn was later braided into the porous hollow tubes with different size of aperture. Surface modification and electrochemistry treatment ensured that hydroxyapatite adhere to surface of the braid more easily. Finally, the porous braid was immersed in the chitosan and gelatin solution which was cross-linked with the UV. This crosslink process reinforced bone-like apatite’s adherence to the braid. Effects of different materials and manufactures on bone regeneration were studied. As a result show that the PLA multi-filaments was twisted to PLA twist yarn by rotor twister. PLA twist yarn used a 16-spindle braid machine to produce the PLA braids. The electrochemistry treatment was performed by 0.1 A in SBF 1 hour, then it was soaked in solution of chitosan (1 wt%):gelatin (5wt%) solution = 1:1. The PLA braid was irradiated by UV rays and the time period of the irradiation was 10 min. In vitro, it has biocompatibility and non- Toxicity.
