As a result, the loop-transfer function of the socks knitting machine may fail and cause fabric quality instability, material wear and tear, which are undesirable to the manufacturers. To address this problem, numerical analysis has been employed to forecast and improve the performance of the socks knitting machine. This study used FEM to conduct modal analysis of the loop-transfer socks knitting machine, and the results can serve as the basis for design improvement. According to the analysis results, low frequency occurs in the part of computer control box.
