Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 經營管理碩士在職專班 === 100 === The impact of globalization and the surge of environmental awareness encourage our and other country’s governments to deal with the green industry as a key economic development. LED provides the benefits such as low heat issue, long life time, low power consumption, no mercury content, and no heavy metal pollution. Therefore, LED fits itself in one of environmental protection industries that countries are popularizing most aggressively. Since 1990, Taiwan’s factories have manufactured low-end LED production. Currently, a strategic alliance in Taiwan enterprises allows the LED industry chain as epitaxy, chipset, and packaging to be fully developed and integrated. Taiwan owns the second LED output value in the world, just below Japan. Other countries, especially Korea and China, are boosting their LED industries. In China, LED was listed in a key item of 11th 5-year plan for economic development. In this thesis, we present Taiwan’s advantage and developing strategy of LED competition under the global energy-saving and green eco-industry trend. We also point out Taiwan’s advantage in the face of China’s relative low cost and cheap labor force on LED production process. Based on the study of cross-strait LED industry, we utilize SWOT analysis and diamond theory to find the most adaptive architecture for Taiwan’s competitive advantage. These methods include qualitative analysis, interview, and questionnaire. We propose the worth of competitive advantage to become the base of enterprise’s sustaining progress.
