In this research, we observe differences of time domain spreading and frequency domain spreading, and compare the spectral efficiency and the number of users supported by various multicarrier systems, such as MC-CDMA, OFDMA, CS-OFDMA, OFCDM, CCC-MC-CDMA, interleaved-OFDMA based on CCC-MC-CDMA, and FSCSI-OFDMA. In addition, we apply the completely complementary code to replace the Golay complementary sequence as subcarrier shifts in the frequency domain and use the Walsh code, the completely complementary code and LS code as spreading codes in the time domain, the performance, spectral efficiency and the number of users of observed systems for MC-SS are measured.
