Summary:碩士 === 佛光大學 === 公共事務學系 === 100 === The study aims to understand the job stress and coping strategies of junior high school teachers in Yilan County. The study applied literature analysis to explore into theoretical studies related to teachers’ job stress, supplemented by conducting collection of empirical data through questionnaire survey. The study objects comprised qualified, full-time teachers of junior high schools in Yilan County as the study population. A total of 321 questionnaires were issued, recovering 315 valid questionnaires with valid questionnaire rate of 98.1%. The research tools included “Yilan County Junior High School Teachers’ Job Stress and Coping Strategy Questionnaire,” data analysis adopting frequency distribution, Pearson correlation, means, percentage, t test and single factor ANOVA. The study drew the following conclusion from the data analyzed: 1. Junior high school teachers of Yilan County face with low level of job stress, indicating that the junior high school teachers of Yilan County perceive low level of job stress. 2. Among the personal background variables of teachers, job stress will show significant difference due to the different position, class scale and different school locations. 3. Junior high school teachers of Yilan County perceive medium level of coping strategies in terms of background variables, gender, age, marital status, education, position, seniority, school scale, and school locations. Among which, the teachers tend to adopt different coping strategies due to difference in gender and position. 4. The analysis of job stress and coping strategies for junior high school teachers in Yilan County shows significant positive correlation with “self-modulation.”
