This paper is to study the development of folk physical education and the difficulty and the promoting strategy. According to the development situation of the folk performance teams in the elementary school in Yilan, the author investigates the difference between different variables of school.
The research samples are elementary school folk performance teams in Yilan county and the questionnaire is to be the research instrument in this paper. There are several analysis method used in this paper, including descriptive statist and frequency distribution.

The folk performance development in elementary school:
The side of co-teaching of folk performance teams: most of Yilan elementary folk performance teachers start to leaner these skill are due to the teaching duty arrangement.
The side of teacher resource: the teachers who’s responsible for folk performance should attend related conference positively, learn more about the professional skills and try to get higher level license of coach or judge.
The side of students training: we need to encourage students who are interested in this field and the training should not influence the normal school learning in the school time.
The side of budget: the promoting of folk performance needs the get the support from government. The government should encourage private company donate and assist the development of folk performance.
The future prospect: in order to have a better development of folk performance, elementary, high school, university colleges and society should work together. Besides not only school can have their own distinguished learning club, but also have sustainable development in traditional Chinese art.
