Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 物理學系 === 100 === In the thesis, we set up the ultrashort fiber amplifier and the mode-locked fiber laser both based on Yb-doped double-clad fibers (10/125 µm), and the pulse characteristics (i.e., pulse duration and energy) from these two fiber systems are investigated. The experimental results show that the energy of the 100 fs pulse can be boosted from 0.6 nJ to 20 nJ in the Yb-doped double-clad fiber amplifier. However the pulse duration becomes longer due to the gain bandwidth of the Yb-doped double-clad fibers. On the other hand, we also observe the pulse characteristics of the mode-locked Yb-doped double-clad fiber laser versus the cavity group delay dispersion. It is found that the pulse width of ~ 100 fs can be obtained when the cavity group delay dispersion is close to 0, and its maximum pulse energy is ~ 1 nJ.
