| Summary: | 碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 宗教學系碩士在職專班 === 100 === This thesis is based on the Miaoli Dahu Yimin Temple. In the three civil commotion incidents in Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty, the people who defend the homeland and sacrifice volunteer ancestors become the most revered God（Yimin）. The Yimin Lord was the most important local god, but also the most unique belief of Hakka in Taiwan. Most Yimin temple in Taiwan are the sub-temple of Hsinchu Hsinpu Fangliao Yimin temple ,or builed because of the revolt against The Qing Dynasty. But the Miaoli Dahu Yimin Temple has different origins.
In the Qing Xianfeng years, Xingilung pioneers Wu DingXin open ground in Dahu. During the time of the cultivation, many pioneers being killed by the fight with highland aborigine or different group of pioneers because of the scramble for the territory. Wu’s original intention for the new temple was build it to enshrine these earliest immigrants to sacrifice the master souls. As can be seen the Dahu Yimin Temple tends to be in WanSengYe faith of God. During the Japanese colonial era the Dahu Yimin Temple was brutally removed and it was not until after Taiwan's retrocession, that Dahu villagers were able to re-build the temples,The temples legally established anti-Japanese victim Luo Fuxing who is enshrined in the temple.
The Dahu Yimin Temple has the appearance of simple, architectural decoration of the temple which does not appear to magnificent. After 60 years there has been no re-decoration, and even more simplicity and nature of the Dahu Yimin Temple can be seen. Behind the temple, the Zhao Zhong Tower sees the enshrined anti-Japanese victim Luo Fuxing and the reclamation of the Wild victims bones, with also the enshrined Luo Fuxing martyr so that when the temple was completed President Chiang Kai-shek presented the plaque and government ministers also donated a wooden couplet. Now, these have become the most special temple decoration in Dahu Yimin Temple.The grand festival, is on July 24 with the Lunar Soul-salvation festival . Since Wu built the temple, Soul-salvation festival of the Dahu Yimin Temple members has been changed violently.
To participate in worshiping ghosts activities to help the Dahu ancestors to deveiop
this land of blood and tears, Luo Fuxing the martyr sacrifice himself for the nation and the people, as their remains are buried in the Zhao Zhong Tower, the memorial tablet is dedicated to the temple of justice and the people in the Dahu. The Dahu, for generations of children and grandchildren, will always be remembered as the ancestors reclamation hard and anti-Japanese martyrs sacrificing dedication to Taiwan.
