Fifty-one Taiwanese women with primary dysmenorrhea were enrolled in the first study. Each participant needed to be evaluated her abdominal temperature, blood flow, Verbal Rating Scale, and Numeric Rating Scale in the blank group (wearing no belt), control group (wearing normal belt), and FIR group (wearing FIR belt). Results indicate that there is an increased 0.57 ℃ of abdominal temperature and 2.66 % abdominal blood flow in the FIR group compared to the control group. Both the scores of the Verbal Rating Scale and Numeric Rating Scale in the FIR group are less than those in the control group. Compared to the blank group,dysmenorrhea pain duration of the FIR group is significantly reduced from 2.4 to 1.8 days. These results validate that the belt made of far-infrared ceramic materials can reduce primary dysmenorrhea. Thirty Taiwanese adult people were enrolled in the second study. Each participant needed to be evaluated their face temperature, blood flow and skin texture in the control group (smear normal cream), and FIR group (smear FIR cream). Results indicate that there is an increased 1.27 ℃ of abdominal temperature, 12.19 % abdominal blood flow and 18.68 % of transdermal delivery in the FIR group compared to the control group. In addition to improve skin texture results from the use of cream three months later. FIR group improve the situation better than the control group.
