Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士在職專班 === 100 === In recent years, the age of Internet users has gradually declined due to the rapid development of information technology. The ratio of elementary school students with Internet access has been increasing. This has led to the emergence of issues related to inappropriate information access amongst children. Back then, such problem only appeared in high school and college students. However, now this problem has gradually appeared in the elementary and junior high schools. On the one hand, the usage of information technology among students can lead to myriad problems. On the other hand, the information education aims to develop scientific and technological strengths so that the citizens are equipped with the ability to use information technology. Therefore, the Ministry of Education has been keen on planning a practicable information education for secondary and primary schools. As mentioned above, this shows that enhancing national information literacy and ethics by means of information education has become a top priority in the country. However, the current research on information technology, literacy, and ethics in Taiwan mostly focus on students at the level of junior and senior high schools and university. There are still a few in-depth studies of sixth grade of elementary students. This research applies literature review and questionnaire method to investigate whether the information education for students of sixth grades has helped enhance their information literacy and ethics. The results of this study will be utilized as a reference to improve the information education in elementary schools. The results showed that the information education had a significant impact on the information literacy and ethics of elementary students. Simultaneously, this research also discovered that whether elementary school students have someone who can guide them while using computers in their home had a significant influence on their degree of information education, literacy, and ethics. Therefore, it can be concluded that the enhancement of information education, literacy, and ethics in elementary school students should rely on the efforts from the school, parents, and students themselves.
