Summary: | 碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 100 === In this study, the performance of a γ-type Stirling engine has been investigated numerically. The engine is housed inside a pressure vessel which can be charged with air or helium up to 10 bars, and the power output of the engine is transmitted through the wall of the pressure vessel via a pair of magnetic couplings. The results include the variations of volumes, temperatures, and heat transfer rates in the expansion and compression chambers of the engine. The effects of three important geometrical and operation parameters on engine performance have also been examined. The results in this paper are very useful for the design of a new γ-type Stirling engine.
