Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系 === 100 === Six-sigma approach has been used world-widely in manufacture sector to stabilize variations of quality during processes, and to enhance productivity. This paper focuses on the adoption of six-sigma methodology to acquire the optimal combination parameters of sulfur free-cutting steel process and thus achieving a stable production, and reducing cost. The key points of production sulfur free-cutting steel are how to manage process input and output variables. Beside the critical improvements concerning each process of steelmaking, refining and continuous casting, we went into define, measure, and analyze phase based on the past production data, then we found the optimal process parameters, and got into improve and control phase finally. So this kind of steel could be produced at optimal cost. Based on the steps of six-sigma, and facilitated with experimental design, analysis of variance and related quality control methods make it possible to obtain optimal variables of sulfur free-cutting steel refining process. This success significantly improves the sulfur free-cutting steel refining process capability, and the average decline in consumption of manganese ferroalloys, while annual production cost savings of more than NT$10 million.
