Summary:碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 資訊科技應用研究所 === 100 === For contemporary teenagers, neither underweight nor overweight is a healthy condition. The only correct concept is to bring up a fit physique through exercise training. Furthermore, with ten PE teaching experiences in junior high school, it is exposed that the number of obese students keeps increasing. And that leads this case study to investigate the effect upon the BMI, mean blood pressure, and heart rate of obese junior high school students by the intervention of exercise training. Randomly divided into two groups for the intervention of exercise training, the objects of this study are 20 obese students with the 22 ± 5 kg /m² body mass index from a junior high school of Kaohsiung City. With ten students (half male and female), Group 1 needs to run 800/1600 meter each day for forty days. And Group 2, with ten students (six males and four females), needs to run twelve minutes each day for forty days. In the end, the data and statistics of two groups are collected to analyze and compare the differences of the BMI, mean blood pressure, and heart rate based on the intervention of exercise training before and after. The results of this study prove that through the intervention of exercise training, the BMI index is reduced. The mean blood pressure and heart rate are lower, too. However, limited by the distance and time, lacked for the setting of exercise intensity and diet, the effect is not obvious enough. Therefore, in order to achieve the more effective weight-losing, combining the diet with exercise upon short-term objectives and exercise intensity is strongly recommended during the weight controlling of obese junior high school students.
