碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 100 === The best way to boom an industry is to use the Mergers and Acquisitions（M & A） strategy which results in a “ 1+1＞2 , integrated effect ”. The industry will reach the greatest benefit and scale economy by the least cost and risk. Given that the TFT-LCD industry is extremely sensitive to economics cycle and competition, the global manufacturers have been adoptied low price policy and production improvement to win the orders. But what has brought about is the predicament of “ the supply exceeds the demand ”. TFT-LCD industry in Taiwan has been facing the threat of the toughest competition and thinking of the possibility of industry integration to survive. The research will explore that the M & A influences the global arrangement and national development of the TFT-LCD industry－CMO ＆ Innolux . But in fact, the future is not as bright as expectations. The complexities among personnel purchase and enterprise cultural difference are intertwined. The research is targeted at the two corporations to find whether M & A is the key to driving corporate performance and integrated effect for the industry after M & A.
