Summary:碩士 === 康寧大學 === 資訊傳播研究所 === 100 === ABSTRACT This study is mainly to explore the relationship between the students who use the internet and the feeling of loneness of the elementary high-grade students of Yunlin County; a questionnaire investigation is adopted for the proceeding of data collection, and the study tool is “Questionnaire of the behavior of internet use and the feeling of loneness”. The targets of this study are the fifth and the sixth grade public elementary school students of Yunlin County, Taiwan; the actually obtained valid questionnaires are 327. All the retrieved data are statistically analyzed and induced by way of the descriptive statistics, independent T test, and one factor analysis of variance; the main study results are as followings: 1. The most frequently engaged activity for the elementary high-grade students of Yunlin County is “playing the games on-line”, and secondly is “using the social group internetsite”. 2. The perceived lonely feeling for the elementary high-grade students of Yunlin County who have no network facility at home is apparently higher than those students who do have such facility at home. 3. The students who study in the elementary schools of Yunlin County which have less than 12 high-grade classes perceived more loneness than the students who study in the elementary schools of Yunlin County which have more than 25 classes. 4. The elementary high-grade students of Yunlin County whose parents don’t know how to use the internet perceived higher loneness than those students whose parents know. 5. The perception of loneness would not make the difference by the variation of frequency, duration, purpose, location, and the seniority on the internet.
