Finally, the study grasped the relationship among home literacy environment, reading behaviors and reading comprehension strategies of senior students from elementary schools in Taoyuan County. This study adopted questionnaire survey, and took senior students from the public elementary schools in Taoyuan County as researchable targets. Then, utilize the method of cluster sampling to sample 689 students from 30 classes in 9 schools out of 3 types, including the large-scale school, the medium-sized school, and the small-scale school, and 617 questionnaires were considered valid. After inputting the data collected by questionnaires into computer, and then analyzing by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson co-relation . The main conclusions are listed as follows: 1. The level for how the children felt the family literacy from Taoyuan County is middle-low. 2. The performance in reading behavior of the children from Taoyuan County is categorized as moderate high. 3. The performance in reading comprehension strategies of the children from Taoyuan County is categorized as moderate low. 4. Different genders,family status and parents’educational level of elementary school senior students showed significant differences in family literacy environment. 5. Different genders, family status and parents’ educational level of elementary school senior students showed significant differences in reading behavior. 6. Different genders and parents’ educational level of elementary school senior students showed significant differences in strategies of reading comprehension. However, no differences were found in family status. 7. There is a significant correlation between how children of elementary school senior students in Taoyuan County felt the family literacy and the performance in reading behavior. 8. There is a significant correlation between how children of elementary school senior students in Taoyuan County felt the family literacy nd the performance in reading comprehension strategies.. 9. There is a significant correlation between how children of elementary school senior students in Taoyuan County the performance in reading behavior and in reading comprehension strategies.
