Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士班 === 100 === The purpose of the study is to explore the viewpoints on life and death of four college students based on their life experiences, especially those related to illness and death. The author interviewed the subjects based on a pre-designed interview outline, which took the five aspects of life education into consideration: sex and marriage, ethics of life and technology, viewpoints on life and death, religion and life, and philosophy and life. The conclusions of the study can be found as follows: 1.The subjects who have not experienced the death of close family members tend to feel the lack of meaning of life. 2.The subjects’ birth family may have impact on their commitments on sex and marriage. The quality of the relationship with family members may have influence on the subjects’ ability to make commitment. 3.The subjects believe that bioethics should be established on life autonomy. 4.The subjects have different views on the ideas of the funeral and burial ceremonial and the respect for ancestors. 5.All four subjects reported no religious belief. The lack of religious guidance may result in the tendency of losing sight of the meaning of life and the improvement of spirituality. 6.The subjects’ ability to pursue the meaning of life and happiness is established on their ability of self-reflection. Finally, the study provides some suggestions for further studies on the curriculum of general education for higher education system and family education.
