November 16, 2009, Apple initiated “Animation News” which combine News and Animation by using 3D animation to recovery what was happened in a news that camera couldn’t. In this study, taking with November 2009, mid-July 2010 and late April 2011 as study sample(3 months), a total 0f 582 for content analysis with “News content”, “Entertainment element” and “Reporting structure” to probe into whether Apple “Animation News” is tend to report in a way of entertainment. The result of the study showed that Apple “Animation News” accord with the Entertaining feature, and found out some specific preferences in style and present of News report. “Crime news” seize the most in “News categories”, “soft news” and “private area” is the majority in “News nature” which is 94.8%, and 76.12%. while the" negative "news accounting for 87.6%. “Animation News” is frequented by stress and describe types of interesting side of news, plot, details, etc., so that a variety of news content evolve as a fun or a human touch. It results the “human interest” and “Render elements” seize a high percentage in “Entertainment element” which is 80.5% for “human interest” and 78.5% for “Render elements” by using animation, narration and sound effects to add up the effect of render. In addition “Animation News” prefer "detailed description of the process and details" of “Report’s methods” accounting for 51.4%. furthermore, “Bloody Sensational and sex” element appear in a total of 400, 68.8% . “Bloody element” seize the majority in “picture content” followed by “Violence element”. The study also found that, “sound effects” is often used in “Animation News” in order to emphasize the effect of emotions, such as sadness, tension, funny along with the “Background music” or “Special sound effect” to enhance the effect of dramatic tension. In “Reporting structure” accounting for 98.45% News is found that adding sound effects which is "special effects" accounted for 49.65%, "background music" accounted for 48.8%, only 9 did not use sound effects. Based on the data above showed that “Reporting methods” of Apple “Animation News” is entertainment-oriented but some expert point out “News” should presented the “True” and sending the message to audience, entertainment-oriented may result the presentation of news likely to be negative and lead to distortion of news and imbalance of news value to audience.
