碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 觀光事業學系碩士在職專班 === 100 === Casino industry has unlimited business opportunities, many countries in Asia have already opened the door to the legalization of casino, however, Taiwan has endless debate on the establishment of tourist casino. 12th January 2009, Legislative Yuan passed the Amendment of Offshore Islands Construction Act to add a decriminalized clause to agree the establishment of tourist casino in offshore islands. The referendum on gaming of tourist casino has been pending by Kinmen County Government for more then 2 years since the lack of public awareness of this industry. There are more works needed to be done to increase the consensus between official and public. In line of this study will therefore focus on the comparative study of established progress of casino industry in advanced regions or countries. The study result will hopefully help to bring out things from others and to be the clear guiding principle. Research methods are 1, through literature review to collate and analyze the rea-son for introduce casino industry, a milestone of change, consequence of follow-up operation and prospect. 2, secondary data collected and analyzed the role, contribution and impact of casino business to the whole tourist industry. 3, use Baidu, google and other well-known search engines as a tool to collect relevant reports of print and electronic media via their news portal platform and to do content analysis. Expect research results are: 1, understand the reason for introducing casino industry. 2, to know the procedure of establishing casino industry, and to learn the way of explore support and overcome those difficulties. 3, sum up the way of successful operation to casino industry. 4, sort out the revelation in the event of developing casino industry in offshore island—Kinmen.
