| Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 應用中國文學系碩士班 === 100 === Zhang hen-shui has strong feelings on Beijing, thus he creates a lot of novels using Beijing as the scene and “Ye Shen Chen” was one of his written works. "Ye Shen Chen" was a story that describes a coachman who was bullied by the warlords and rich people because he saves a sing-song girl. He wrote well, the story can actually show the protagonist''s anger emotion, which was true to reflect the society at that time in Beijing.
This paper use Zhang hen-shui''s written work “Ye Shen Chen” as the research target to study the personal life, writing experience of Zhang hen-shui, and the theme of “Ye Shen Chen”.
Furthermore, this paper using the characters and personality description of “Ye Shen Chen” to explore Zhang hen-shui''s writing techniques. This paper not only explores the writing style but also develop the literary value of “Ye Shen Chen”.
The dissertation can be divided into six chapters.
Chapter 1: Introduction.
This chapter shows the study motives and purposes that choosing “Ye Shen Chen” as the research target and introducing the findings of previ0us studies on “Ye Shen Chen”. This chapter also illustrates the research methods and scope of the study.
Chapter 2: Zhang hen-shui and “Ye Shen Chen”.
Firstly, this chapter illustrates Zhang hen-shui''s personal life and his experiences of creation. Next, the chapter will explore the naming of the story and its origin of creative motivation, background and history of writing. And then, this chapter will use ten versions of “Ye Shen Chen” to analysis and comprise the story. Finally, discourses story of “Ye Shen Chen”.
Chapter 3: The theme of “Ye Shen Chen”.
This chapter takes explore powerful warlords luxury outrageous, reflecting the social phenomenon, and respects civilian chivalrous spirit these three parts to show the theme of “Ye Shen Chen”.
Chapter 4: Description the characters skills of “Ye Shen Chen”.
Firstly, this chapter takes the role name and story character portrait to show the characters’ image; and then, using dialogue and action description to descript character’s personalities. Finally, this chapter takes inner monologue and the description scenery to express feelings of character’s thinking.
Chapter 5: The writing skills of “Ye Shen Chen”.
Firstly, description the narrative point of view of “Ye Shen Chen”, and then this paper using coincidence, foreshadowing, accident, mistake, suspense and dream these characteristics to explore the plot of the story. Finally, analyze the scenery skills in the end of this chapter.
Chapter 6: Conclusion.
It concludes the theme of “Ye Shen Chen”, illustrating characters carved and writing techniques, and elaborates the future study direction.
