碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 100 === In recent years, the time-space convergence resulting from revolutions in transportation and information technology, and the rapidly growing internet industry, have led to the emergence of a new international division of labour, which features increasingly intense industry competition as well as capricious and dynamic competitive environments. E-business is becoming an indispensible business model at the present time. This study mainly focuses on how to solve the problem arising from the introduction of enterprise resource planning systems to the construction industry. Therefore, the related literature will be reviewed first so that the interview topics and outlines as well as the questionnaire contents can be derived. Owing to the fact that the introduction of ERP into the manufacture industry takes a large part of the ERP applications, the consultant company familiars with the manufacture industry certainly. Instead, the consultant companies are very strange to the introduction of ERP into the construction industry because the cases are rare. Therefore they can not provide for mature solutions to solve this application. The solutions provided by the consultant company are always limited to the business process of the manufacture industry even if they have solutions of how to introduce the ERP into the construction industry. Thus their proposals are unable to effectively meet the industry’s needs. In order to attain this purpose, a qualitative research approach has been adopted, in which this thesis conducts in-depth interviews of companies that have introduced ERP systems; observe their operations, and collect relevant documents and data. Emphasis is laid on analysis of the operation process. It is expected to have both the academic and practical values in this thesis, and can serve as a reference both for information technology planning and for introducing ERP systems into the construction industry.
