And their future intention to pursue advance study in Taiwan or recommend it to others. Second, the study attempts to identify main factors that determine Vietnamese students’ satisfactions, well-being, and intention. Third, this study use importance-performance analysis (IPA) to understand the strength and weakness of Taiwan’s higher education for Vietnamese students. Thus, the results of analysis can provide the universities the directions for improvements. Fourth, the study attempt to better understand Vietnamese students at Minghsin Universities of Science and Technology regarding their level of well-being, satisfactions and intentions, this study will compare the results of Minghsin Universities to other private universities and national universities. The study has carried out in two stages. The first stage is to explore factors that Vietnamese students consider important in determining their learning and living experiences. The results of this pilot study are then used as the basis for formal questionnaire design. The second stage was formal study, in which 280 Vietnamese students from 13 Taiwan’s universities participated to answer the formal questionnaire. In data analysis, Important-Performance-Analysis (IPA) as well as other statistical procedure was employed to analyze the results. The main findings indicated that Vietnamese students in general have high satisfactions to learning and living environment in Taiwan, but relatively lower well-being and intention to use continuing education. Scholarship students had lower satisfactions and intention than family support students. Moreover, facility conditions were negative for Vietnamese students’ satisfactions as well as intention with Taiwan’s universities. Additionally, attributes such as “teaching materials”, “accessibility of instructor outside class time”, and “safety” seemed to meet their expectation. However, Taiwan universities should improve on “food in canteen” as well as the “staff in dormitory”. Particularly, the study also revealed the specific findings of Vietnamese student in national universities, private universities, and MUST. Finally, the study recommended that further studies should focus on international students’ well-being as well as their satisfaction with more higher education attributes. 林舒予 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 86 en_US
