Description
Summary:碩士 === 明志科技大學 === 服務與創新管理研究所 === 100 === “Cluster-effective” has been recognized as one of the most efficient mode of driving industry development by global economist. Wugu Industrial Park has been linked with the furniture industry since 1984. Up to now, there are total of 349 furniture manufacturer cluster in Wugu. What kind of power make Wugu shape into a unique cluster phenomenon? In order to find the answer to above questions, the study is conducted from the viewpoint of geographical environment, density dependence, resource partitioning and niche width. This study, on one hand, collected a wealth of secondary data; on the other hand, supplemented by field study and in-depth interview to proceed. The results of this study: (1) for geographical environment, traffic location near the highway, surrounded by mountains, Wugu Interchange fanned into the mountains, quite suitable for the interdependence of the satellite system of the furniture industry between upstream and downstream supply chain, It effectively reduce the transaction costs; (2) for density dependence, the maximum load capacity of resource constraints, Wugu in general to maintain nearly 350 furniture manufacturers to survive, there is the formation of a clear-cut furniture industry clusters; (3) for centrality and concentration of resource Partitioning, the location of the top six manufacturers of Wugu furniture manufacturers within a distance of 100 meters for each other, there is the influence of vertical and horizontal; (4) for niche width, Wugu furniture manufacturers will take a relatively wide niche strategy to diversify risk for survival by increasing competition and cooperation. There are abounding theoretical and practical implications from above 4 propositions for the furniture industry manufacturers in Wugu.
