Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 國家政策與公共事務研究所 === 100 === This dissertation is written in the light of the intension and practice of character education in elementary school. It aims at exploring of essential conception of character
education, the role and task of elementary school teachers in character education, confronting the difficult position of curriculum reform and the actuality conduct of devices. This study took Kuang-Ming Elementary School as an object of study and made use of case study method to research the character education of this school. By means of the purposive sampling, we chose four administrators and six homeroom teachers as our interviewers. With regard to the implementation processes of character education in this elementary school, we took up a matter with the above interviewers face to face such that we can obtain some valuable suggestions and thinking from the interviewers. By the method of document analysis, the data of this thesis were obtained.
The conclusion of the study starts at elementary school teachers recognize character education probing into the role and task, the aspect of reality, selecting and
adopting tactics.
According to this study, bringing up some suggestions to educational institution, educational people, parents, mass media and follow-up researchers in hope to reach Character Education.
