The iterative process of guess, trial, and modification is tedious, time consuming, and laborious. In this study the Fuzzy PSO(Fuzzy Particle Swarm Optimization)Data Mining technology is chosen as an alternative method to locate correct design parameters. The soil-structure interactive models and the range of parameters are reasonably simplified. The 21 Sep.1999 earth quake records from ten different stations near Central Science Park in Taiwan were used as the applied external forces. Response of systems are calculated through numerical integration and then used as the samples. While the procedures are used at one station, the preliminary results show 89% agreements, and modification of weights could upgrade the agreements up to 90.2%. To use these parameters for other stations and their records, however, excellent results and some unsatisfactory results are obtained. This discrepancy is possibly related to geological conditions. Historical well-known earthquake records were also used as input forces and similar results were observed.
