Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 食品暨應用生物科技學系所 === 100 === In this study, we described the process of formation of Taiwanofungus camphorates microcapsules by microfluidic system of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). To the side channels we administered the canola oil with addition of calcium acetate. The discontinuous phase was an aqueous solution of alginate. The result demonstrated that modified the surface chemistry of the channels to render it hydrophile which changing the rates of flow of the side channels and of the discontinuous phase that allowed to formation of Ca-alginate microbeads. To formulate alginate microbeads we used aqueous solution of 2.0%(w/w)alginate and a range of concentrations of calcium acetate in oil:between 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0% and 2.5%(w/w). The mean diameter was 149.40 μm and 172.75 μm of 2.0% and 2.5%(w/w)calcium acetate of Ca-alginate microbeads. And we found the microcapsules of 2.0% and 2.5%(w/w)calcium acetate of Ca-alginate microbeads in hydrochloric acid solution(pH 1.5)for one hour, the tolerance level was 72.97% and 78.20%. However, the formulation of Ca-alginate microcapsules, using a microfluidic chip was simple and fast. The use of microfluidics to control the delivery of ions of encapsulation of microbeads and for tuning the rate of release from Ca-alginate.
