Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 高階經理人碩士在職專班 === 100 === Marketing and innovation are two basic functions for enterprises. Innovation is often regarded as one of the core values for most enterprises. It is difficult to become a successful business without innovation. The main purpose of this thesis is to understand how to improve competitiveness by the innovation for the fire lighting industry. Also, this thesis try to understand the environment of operation in the fire lighting industry by using the research method of case study, five force analysis and SWOT analysis. Due to fire lighting industry related to public safety, there are many limitations and regulatory norms for fire-lighting products. High barriers only allow that few suppliers can enter the relatively closed fire-lighting market. Also companies investing in innovation are also not many in an industry. It will be an interesting topic to study how to enhance competitiveness of enterprises by using different innovations such as technology innovation, channel innovation, brand value-added innovation, product innovation, open innovation and green ener-gy/carbon reduction innovation. In recent years, the rise of awareness for public safety causes an increasingly growth for fire lighting market. In this situation we can expect price wars among firms in this industry. The case study, cross-validation with the case company in the past the actual operating data, to explore the relationship between innovation and competitiveness. It is a reference for future researchers to explore other related industries or other small enterprises through innovation to enhance the competitiveness.
