The study conducts a preliminary discussion about the person and her works, and analyzes how her family literature backgroung and growth environment affect her. The study looks into her three books and discusses the writing motivation and background, material sources and writing concept, the theme of the works, demand ideas and social criticism. The study also explores different aspects of her three works as well as how she uses writing feature, skill and technique in order to show the concern of social reality, to show how she pursues the literature ideals, and the practice of social care. The study is divided into six chapters. The author researches into two of Wu, Yin-Ning’s reportages, “The Mask Jungle- visited Mexico Zapatista Liberation Army”, “Where is Jiang Hu? Taiwan’s agricultural observation”, and poems, “Flowers on the Edge.” The study analyzes the lyrical and romantic passion of her works and her rigid personality to fulfill the ideals. Chapter One, Introduction: describes the purpose of this study and the outline of this paper. Chapter Two will explore the process of the growth of Wu, Yin-Ning, literary lineage, and her own personality on creation. Chapter Three to Five discuss three of her works in order from writing motivation, purpose, background, personal experience, and work relevance, and then probe into the essence of the three books and writing characteristics. Contents are as follows: Chapter Three, “The pursuit of revolutionary passion”, discusses why Wu, Yin-Ning speaks for the Mexican aboriginals in “The Mask Jungle- visited Mexico Zapatista Liberation Army.” and how she links the Indians with the bottom of Taiwan people, helps them get back dignity, and reflects from experiences. The chapter also analyzes in a lively and distinctive approach on reportage skills. Chapter Four is “A sense of national and social coexistence”, in which Wu, Yin-Ning discusses the current agriculture in Taiwan and rural plight in “Where is Jiang Hu? Taiwan’s agricultural observation.” What is her demand and critical content? How is the material used and how is the structure arranged? There are many ancient and modern literary works in this book. What is the purpose? Chapter Five, “Feminist consciousness and the reality concern,” focuses on the poems, “Flowers on the Edge” to discuss her creation concept and writing process. How many important themes and thoughts are covered in this book? How is the personality and unique aspect that the author conveys in her poems?
