We can not only monitor and control wide range of systems but also reduce carbon emission and save energy by it. CC2530 is a system-on-chip which is compliant with ZigBee standard. We used CC2530 chip and FT232RQ chip to make a plug-and-play ZigBee coordinator with antenna and some electronic parts. Users can plug it into the computer and control it by Z-tool interface. In addition, for the reason to get more functions, we had to find where to modify codes in the Z-Stack, which is also compliant with ZigBee standard. The antenna in the board, which was designed by a member in our laboratory, was a monopole antenna and had reasonable quality to receive packets. The size of ZigBee coordinator was smaller than other coordinators. Finally, we integrated hardware and software into the gadget.
