They are important issues for the establishment of sustainable industries. The iron and steel industry consumes large amounts of energy and the CO2 emission is also tremendous in Taiwan. Improving the energy efficiency of iron and steel industry is an important work at present. The eco-industrial networks studied in this study successfully reduce the energy consumptions and CO2 emissions. In addition, it also brings some additional incomes to the case mill. It is believed that the goal of improving energy efficiency and reduction of CO2 emission will be accomplished while this system being applied to other industrial parks.
