The purpose is to understand the motivation of elders’ Qigong learning, to analyze the Qigong learning process of elders and their obstacles to learning, to discuss the solutions to the problems, and to discuss the influence to the elder Qigong learners after the implementation. This study adopts semi-structured interviews. According to the analysis and discussion of interview data, four themes of conclusions are drawn from this study: 1.The motivation of elders’ Qigong learning is from mental learning needs, including grasping the Qigong study opportunity, approving Benchmark, and basing on personal interests and curiosity and is from physical learning needs, including keeping healthy. 2.The elders’Qigong learners’ obstacles to learning include the situation barrier, the organization barrier, the intention barrier, the information barrier and the body barrier. The situation barrier and the intention barrier are the great impact to the elder learners. 3.The learning obstacles faced by elder Qigong learners include the transportation problem, having no time, improper curriculum, the place to be too far, having no interest, lacking information and not being healthy. 4.The influences to the elder Qigong learners after the implementation include attending active ageing, healthy ageing, successful ageing, losing weight, becoming good-looking. This study according to the result of research it concludes some suggestions on the aspect of the government authority, elder and following researchers. Abstract
This study aimed to explore the Qigong learning experience of elders .
