Pages:164 Graduation Time:July/2012 Degree Conferred:Master Student Name:Chen-Ling Chou Advisor Name:Horng-Ji Lai, Ph.D.                    Abstract   This research aims at evaluating the relations between Internet self-efficacy and lifelong learning competences of college students. The main purposes of this research are as follows:understanding the situation of college students’ Internet self-efficacy and lifelong learning competences, analyzing the difference of demographic data on Internet self-efficacy and lifelong learning competences. Figuring out the correlations between Internet self-efficacy and lifelong learning competences and exploring the predictive ability toward lifelong learning competences based on Internet self-efficacy. Based on the suggestions of research literatures, a structural questionnaire contains personal information, Internet self-efficacy questionnaire and lifelong learning questionnaire served as research tool in this study. This research subjects were 351 students who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors of the four-year day program of public university at the first semester of the 2011 academic year. The collected data were processed by SPSS 12.0 with descriptive statistics(mean and standard deviation), t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and regression analysis method.   The results revealed are as follows: 1.Above-average satisfactory of Internet self-efficacy from the participants, especially in the dimension of self-efficacy on attitude. 2.Average satisfactory of lifelong learning competences is achieved from college students, especially in the dimension of ability on motivation and emotion management. 3.The factors that influence college students’Internet self-efficacy are gender, grade, attanded college, different access to Internet at home, average time on using Internet and different attendance in Computer-related courses in college. 4.The factors that influence college students’lifelong learning competences are attended college and different attendance in Computer-related courses in college. 5.College students show better attitude toward their satisfactory of Internet self-efficacy, also perform better lifelong learning competences.
