Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 應用化學系 === 101 === In this project, di-octylaimne as the terminal functional group. We use different cores such as di-aminoethane, di-aminopropane, di-aminobutane, di-aminopantane N,N’-dimethylethylenediamine and N,N’-2-methyl-1,4-butanediamine for preparing dendrimers. Besides, piperidine and mopholine were used for preparing dendrons. Dendrimers and dendrons were characterized by polarizing microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and powder XRD. The results showed main chain has odd atoms of core can breaking symmetry and display columnar liquid-crystalline phases during thermal treatment. It didn’t existed mesophase of core which has even atoms of main chain. In addition, dendrons displayed short range of liquid crystalline phase during thermal treatment. The last parts of experiment, by mixing TCNE to denderimers and dendrons can inducing or expanding of liquid-crystalline phase.
