Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 國際文教與比較教育學系 === 100 === This main purpose of this research is to discuss about “Green University” development between Taiwan and Mainland China which is popular in recent years. Because “Green University” development includes lots of contents, this study could only focus on government organizations, policy decisions and the school cases of the two countries. By using document analysis, the researcher compares Chi Nan University in Taiwan and Beijing Normal University in Mainland China, to find out the differences between the countries. Based on the analysis of related documents, the study induces following conclusions: Firstly, both of the two countries believe that the role of higher education institutions on sustainable development is very important; Secondly, Taiwan is more positive on the enforcement of the law; Thirdly, the university of Mainland China has more positive attitude on the “Green University” development; Fourthly, the school leader plays an important role on “Green University” development; Fifthly, how a school develops up as a “Green University” is an important indicator of the results; Sixthly, the life style on energy saving and carbon reduction of the teachers and students in Beijing Normal University are more diversified; Seventhly, students are indispensable builders of green campus culture; Eighthly, the consciousness of the school faculty is an important part on “Green University” development. In view of conclusions above, this research provides critical suggestions to the three aspects: the government unit, the school, and all the students and faculty.
