The main purpose of this study is to explore the reaction time badminton players have spent on blocking. Two tools has invented for this study. One is the system to evaluate the reaction time of blocking; the other is the switch on the sole. The visualizations made of chaos simulate the locations of ball. The visualization can be used to analyze the reaction time of blocking for players individually. The purpose of this study is to investigate the time of reacting to blocking for the players who involved in eight-week agility training. At the first, second, and third games, observe the variation of total reaction time and reaction time. Furthermore, the study discusses the presentation of players with scientific data to see the overall response time (total reaction time, TRT), and reaction time (reaction time, RT) performance.Method: The study subjects consisted of 20 college male badminton players of second group (adverage height 172.5 ± 5.6 cm; age 24.34 ± 2.3 years; age of ball 7.9 ± 2.3 years; weight 69.75 ± 5.73 kg ). The objects were divided into the agility training group and the general training group. During the study, the objects were trained with agility ladders. The total response time was recorded by the invented system, and the reaction time was recorded by the high-speed camera and the switch on the sole. T-test and Tukey HSD were used for contrasts as statistic.Results: After eight-week training, the total reaction time of blocking on the right side showed that the general training group made 0.09 seconds progress, and the agility training group made 0.19 seconds progress; on the left side showed that the general training group made 0.13 seconds progress, and the agility training group made 0.19 seconds progress; in the middle showed that the general training group made 0.13 seconds progress, and the agility training group made 0.24 seconds progress. The reaction time of blocking on the right side showed that the general training group made 0.06 seconds progress, and the agility training group made 0.46 seconds progress; on the left side showed that the general training group made 0.14 seconds progress, and the agility training group made 0.49 seconds progress; in the middle showed that the general training group made 0.03 seconds progress, and the agility training group made 0.35 seconds progress. After analyzing through the T-test, the teat showed that agility training made significant differences to players in the total reaction time of blocking(p =.000). The reaction time of blocking did not make obvious differences until the sixth week (p = .001).After comparing the agility training group with the general one, the objects in the general training group through eight-week training made little decrease in both time of the total reaction and the reaction(p>.05). The objects in the agility training group had an obvious effect on the total reaction time after two weeks (p<.001), however they made no difference in the fourth week and the rest of the weeks(p>.05). That meant the objects had already been in a stable situation. The players had an obvious effect on the reaction time in the fourth week(p<.05), however they made no difference in the fourth week and the rest of the weeks(p>.05). That also meant the objects had already been in a stable situation.Conclusion: The results of this study found that the agility ladder helps upgrade the total reaction time of blocking obviously in several weeks. The feasibility and accuracy of this system are quite high. The system can be used to quantify the total reaction and reaction time of blocking for badminton players in the future. Furthermore, the system provides coaches with the data of blocking.
