Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 100 === This study aimed to discuss the influential factors for vocational high school Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering Group’s students participation in the Skill Test of Class B Certification Technician, and understand the difference in factors between different background variable students participation skill test. For the purpose of this research, a questionnaire-based survey was conducted on third-year students drawn from Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering Group, which totaled 4,754, based in schools from central Taiwan areas like Taichung County city, Zhanghua County city and Nantou County city. Using stratified random sampling, a total of 1,010 questionnaires were sent out; of these, 933 were recovered but after deducting 85 invalid or spoilt questionnaires, 848 valid questionnaires were eventually used for analysis, bringing the ratio of valid questionnaires to 83.96%. The statistical analysis tools used are: Descriptive Statistical Analysis, Independent-Samples T test,one-way ANOVA, as well as the Scheffé multiple-comparison test. From the analysis conducted, the research results that were obtained are as follows: 1.“Parental expectations” are the strongest variable that influences the participation of students from the Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering Group in the class B skill certification. 2.“Parental expectations”, “teacher’s expectations”, “peer influence” and “school administrative support” and other variables exert a higher degree of influence on private school students than those from public. 3.“Parental expectation” has a bigger impact on students in Nantou County than those from Changhua County; “technician certificate utility” also influences students in Nantou County more than those based in Taichung City. 4.“Achievement motivation”, “parental expectations”, “teacher’s expectations”, “peer influence”, “support administrative support”,these factors affect Dept. of Computer Science students more than students from Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Dept. of Electronic Engineering; meanwhile, the “technician certificate utility” factor has a higher degree of influence among students from Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Dept. of Computer Science than those from Dept. of Electronic Engineering. 5.“Achievement motivation” factor influences students going for further studies more than those who are choosing to enter the work force. Based on the findings above, recommendations were made on vocational high schools, the school teachers, and areas for future research.
