Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 商業教育學系 === 100 === Abstract The purposes of this study were to explore the status and needs of the elementary school teachers’ professional growth in Life Curriculum in Changhua County. A questionnaire survey was used in this study. The population of this research were elementary school teachers in Changhua County through the stratified sampling and 273 samples were effective. The research tools were the scales of teachers’ professional growth and needs in Life Curriculum. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA and pearson product-moment correlation . The findings of the research were summarized as follows: 1. Teachers had highest average on the dimension of teaching strategy and the lowest on curriculum design. 2. On approaches to assessment in Life Curriculum, teachers over 21 years of service performed better than those within 10 years of service. 3. In Life Curriculum, teachers’ performance in the status of professional growth was better than the degree of needs. 4. Teachers of different background variables showed little difference toward status and needs in professional growth in Life Curriculum. 5. Teachers showed significant correlation toward status and needs in professional growth in Life Curriculum.
