The result shows that, in the aspect of the kinds of seedling, under worse environment at Dongshih , the adaptability of seedling is better than that of cutting seedling; but in the aspect of top growth at Sihhu the growing speed of cutting seedling is faster than that of seedling, and can be economical beneficial in a shorter time. As for the fruit productivity of left stubble and fruit thinning it is the left stubble that the height of cutting is 80cm high from the bole that can effectively increase fruit productivity, and it can concentrate the bearing period. Besides, for thinning 2/3 fruits in each infloresc- ence, the fruit productivity also follows a trend of significant increase, and it also have the best effect of concentrating bearing period. Since it is the Sihhu and Singye where the growing statuses are the best, it is conce- ivable that, in Taiwan, the best growing environment for Jatropha curcus is from in-land low elevated hills to plain fields where are away from the sea, and the pH degree of the soil is 6.6-7.8, and the annual rainfall is 1300 mm-2000 mm, but floods should be prevented.
