碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 數位學習設計與管理學系研究所 === 100 === The purpose of this research is to understand the integration of technology and pre-training courses of short-term study-abroad program on students’ International Awareness, National Identity, Global Competitiveness, Global Responsibility and Language Awareness. Forty-four high school students participated in this research. These students were from different departments and they were divided into two groups: the control group and the experimental group. The researcher interviewed the students who attended short-term study-abroad program in 2009 and 2010. The problems revealed the insufficient trainings of the pre-training courses. Therefore, the researcher applied technology into the training courses of short-term study abroad programs. The researcher used MASQUE (The Munroe Multicultural Attitude Scale Questionnaire) to analysis students’ International Awareness. Besides, IAAS (International Awareness and Activities Survey) was used as the instruments of testing students’ National Identity, Global Competitiveness and Global Responsibility. Moreover, the researcher observed students’ behaviors of Language Awareness. Lastly, the researcher used descriptive analysis, ANCOVA and qualitative research method to analyze the collected data. The conclusions are as following: 1. The integration of technology in the training courses of short-term study abroad programs has significant difference in International Awareness. 2. The integration of technology in the training courses of short-term study abroad programs has no significant difference in students’ National Identity, Global Competitiveness and Global Responsibility. 3. The integration of technology in the training courses of short-term study abroad programs improved students’ Language Awareness.
