The data was collected through questionnaires, and the survey samples consisted of 420 elementary teachers who live in Chiayi county, Chiayi city and Tainan city. Several instruments were included “Family Atmosphere Scale”, “Marital Beliefs Scale” and “Marital Quality Scale”. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and regression analysis. Based on the findings, suggestions were made for counseling educators, supervisors, students, and future research. The main findings were summarized as follows: 1. The overall performance is positive and above average in the married elementary school teachers’ family atmosphere and marital quality, especially for male teacher, the marital quality is highly evaluated. 2. The married elementary school teachers’ marital beliefs are related to growth belief. 3. The married elementary teachers’ family atmosphere and marital quality show significant due to their different family type. 4. The married elementary school teacher with difference sex, age and family type show no significant difference in marital beliefs. 5. Family atmosphere and developing beliefs have a positive correlation with marital quality. 6. Destiny belief is no significant correlation with marital quality. 7. The marital quality can be effectively estimated by family atmosphere and marriage beliefs. The most important factor is the family system maintenances; the second is relationship, growth belief and personal growth, which can contribute up to 49.5%. Finally, according to the results, suggestions were given to married elementary school teachers, schools, educational organizations, government agencies and researchers for extended studies. 王以仁 學位論文 ; thesis 109 zh-TW
