Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育學系研究所 === 100 === The main purposes of this study are to understand the status in reading of the elementary school teachers and to analyze the factors influencing the teaching. The study was built on qualitative case study. Three recognized teachers in Yunlin County were chosen. The data collected from classroom observation and interview. We are looking forward to understand the status in reading teaching of elementary school teachers, to analyze the different strategies were adopted by the teachers and the factors influencing the teaching.The major findings of this study were listed as follows: 1. Teachers give reading instruction to help students to get better character and behaviors and improve their reading comprehension. 2. Teachers take diverse methods or techniques and different understanding toward reading skills creates different aspects of reading teaching. 3. Teachers could use multiple assessments to show the outcomes of students’ reading. 4. Previous teaching experiences, professional knowledge, personal hobbies, values, classroom management and the support from the administrative team in schools,etc have great impact on teachers. To sum up, we have developed some specific suggestions for elementary school teachers, school administrators, education administrators and further researchers according to all of the above conclusions.
