The structures of compounds 1–9 were established by spectroscopic methods and by comparison of the spectroscopic data with those of related metabolites, and sesquiterpenoid 1 was found to possess a new carbon skeleton. Metabolites 1, 5, 6 and 8 displayed inhibitory effects on the generation of superoxide anion by human neutrophils, and metabolites 4 and 8 showed weak inhibitory effects on the elastase release by human neutrophils at a concentration of 10 ug/mL.
