In this study, an analysis was made in terms of the present situation, differences and relevance regarding the residents’ perception of Tu-Di-Gong in Ji-An. A questionnaire titled “Perception of Tu-Di-Gong by the Residents in Ji-An Township” is adopted to carry out the survey. With stratified sampling, a total of 780 residents were selected. 721 valid samples were collected. Next, the statistical software package, SPSS, was applied for making a data analysis including the approaches such as descriptive statistics, T-TEST, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and Chi-square test. The following conclusions are obtained after discussing the results of the analysis. 1. In Ji-An, the residents’ total correct response rate for the questions in the “Perception of Tu-Di-Gong Scale” reaches 66.6%. In the “Scale of Attitude toward Tu-Di-Gong”, the highest point for each question is 5 while the lowest is 1. The total average point of all questions is 4.04. The residents’ responses to each of the questions in the “Behavior Regarding Tu-Di-Gong Scale” vary. 2. The residents in Ji-An show significant differences in the “Overall Perception of Tu-Di-Gong” by “residential area”. The residents show significant differences in the “Overall Attitude toward Tu-Di-Gong” by “age”, “educational degree”, “occupation”, “marital status”, “residential area”, and “location of the Tu-Di-Gong temple being worshipped”. 13 background variables are taken into account to explore the residents’ behavior in connection with the Tu-Di-Gong. As a result, the residents show significant differences in each question concerning their behavior by 1 to 6 background variables. 3. The perception of Tu-Di-Gong by residents in Ji-An shows a significant and positive correlation with their attitude toward Tu-Di-Gong. In Ji-An, the residents’ perception of Tu-Di-Gong shows no significant correlation with their behavior. The residents’ attitude toward Tu-Di-Gong shows significant correlation with their behavior.
