Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處美勞教學碩士班 === 100 === The researcher, born and grew up on Matsu Island, returned to her hometown to begin her teaching career after obtaining her degree from Taipei Municipal University of Education. While teaching on the island, she found that Matsu Folk Arts Museum provided not only excellent out-of-classroom teaching materials for her young students but also a right place to explore the culture in which she was raised. Discovering these, the researcher started her study with the following aims in mind: (A) exploring the local customs and cultural heritage on Matsu Island, (B) looking into the content to be included in an inquiry-based learning handbook, (C) designing an inquiry-based learning handbook for students aged between years 10 and 12 for Matsu Folk Arts Museum, and (D) offering suggestions on using the handbook for touring Matsu Folk Arts Museum based on the study. The study adopted the document analysis approach to explore the local customs and cultural heritage on Matsu Island and look into the content to be included in a handbook. Following this, an inquiry-based handbook was designed for visitors aged between years 10 and 12 for Matsu Folk Arts Museum. The designed handbook was then edited based on suggestions collected from 4 experts on Matsu customs and heritage, 7 scholars and 81 elementary 4-6 students from Jie-shou Elementary School through questionnaires. The researcher then finalized the handbook to be used in Matsu Folk Arts Museum. The paper has in addition listed four suggestions for Matsu Folk Arts Museum, teachers, parents and future researchers for their reference based on the study results.
