On the other hand, a series of novel 3-[7-substituted-8-(4-substituted-phenyl)azo-pyrazol[1,5- a]pyrimidine]-coumarines were also obtained by the intramolecular cyclization of 3-(3-dimethylamino-acryloyl)-comarine derivatives with appropriate 3-substituted-5-amino-4-(4-substituted -phenyl)azo-pyrazoles under acid conditions. The structures were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, mass and elemental analysis. The absorption spectra characteristics were investigated in DMF and dichloromethane by UV-vis absorption.
