But the network also causes many threats to VoIP. There are Denial of Service (DoS) flooding attacks, SPAM over Internet telephone (SPIT) annoyance advertisement, Eavesdropping and Fraud call. Among these threats, the fraud damages properties of the Service providers and the use VoIP users. To increase the security of VoIP calls, this thesis design a proactive detection and real-time defense mechanism to prevent the VoIP fraud. We analyze the personal habits such as calling behavior and the VoIP message based on the CDR (Call Detail Record) from three real VoIP service platforms. Upon the frauds are detected, the server redirects the call to the IVR (Interactive Voice Response), for further authentication.
