The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among loss experiences,grief reactions and death anxiety of the student in elementary school. Using “Loss Experiences Questionnaire”, “Grief Reactions Questionnaire” and “Death Anxiety Questionnaire” as research instruments, we totally used 965 public school students between the 5th and the 6th grades from twenty elementary schools in Kaohsiung City as the effective samples .The sample consisted of 965 students from the 5th and 6th grades from twenty elementary schools in Kaohsiung city.Survey research was utilized and the instruments used in this research included demographic information of the participants,“Loss Experiences Questionnaire”,” Grief Reactions Questionnaire”,”Death Anxiety Questionnair”. Statistical methods employed to analyze the data including the Means of description, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, and Stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as followed. Data obtained in this study are analyzed with the means of descriptive,t-test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson product moment correlation,and stepwise multiple regression analysis. 1.The influence on the elementary school students by “Loss experiences” tends to be slight, in which students feel the greatest by “Interaction Loss”. 2.The awareness of the elementary school students by “Grief reactions” is lower than average, in which “Emotion reactions” is prior to “Behavior reactions.” 3.The awareness of the elementary school students by “Death Anxiety” is average, in which students feel the greatest by “Connections of Loss relationships and Helplessness.” 4.“Girls” and “the 6th grades” are influenced the most by “Loss experiences.” 5.“Girls”, “Family Discussion Avoidance”, and “Occasional Discussion” show the strongest reactions on students by “Grief reactions.” 6.Girls”, “the 6th grades” and “Occasional Discussion” are influenced the most by “Death Anxiety.” 7.The “Loss Experiences”, “Grief Reactions” and “Death Anxiety” of the student obviously related to each other. 8.The “Loss Experiences”, “Grief Reactions” and “Death Anxiety” of the student can be predicted in which “Behavior reactions” reveal to be the most predictable. According to the research results, we provide suggestions to the teachers and the parents for the education use and also for the researchers in the future.
