Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 100 === Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of service-learning program on the prosocial behavior of junior high school students, and see if the program is applicable in junior high school so as to offer a reference to secondary education. A quasi-experimental design was utilized in this study. The subjects for the study were 60 junior high school students. They were divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group, each group containing 30 subjects. The experimental group participated in a 10-week service-learning program, while the control group received no treatment. In the study, Prosocial Behavior Questionnaire was employed to conduct the pretest, and follow-up test. Then the data were analyzed by a One-Way ANCOVA to measure the instant effects of the treatment on the experimental group members. On the other hand, qualitative data, which were collected from the researcher’s study journal and the experimental group members’ feedback on each unit and on the whole program, were also analyzed to explore the experimental group members’ responses to this service-learning program. The main findings and conclusions are as follows: 1.The a service-learning program had instant effects on junior high school students. 2. The effects of service-learning program did not show differences because of "gender" or "social economic status." 3. Most students in experimental group students commented positive opinion on service-learning program. The conclusion of this study was provided as a reference for teachers, schools, and further researches.
