In tourist spots, the willingness to revisit is a popular subject, especially the demographic variables. Numerous studies on willingness to revisit suggest that demographic features are important factors . However, results from each study are different, and oftentimes contradicted and therefore inconclusive. Thus, the objective of this study is to use meta-analysis, a method that integrates the statistical findings from various studies, to verify the relationship between the willingness of revisit and their demographic features. Meta-analysis can be used to combine data of several studies, including p-value, chi-square(X2), Z score, t-test and the average standard deviation (SD). In this study, we used the Z scores from each study, and transform them into the p-value from published literatures. The demographic features in this study included gender, age, education level, income, residence, number of trips, and number of accompany person. Our results from meta-analysis showed that willingness to revisit was correlated with the following features including >30 years of age, education level >university, income > NT$40,000/month, number of trips >3, travelling with accompany. Gender and residence showed no significant difference in willingness to revisit. Our study suggests that the tourism industry may apply our findings by strategic alliance with other industries with member information for “targeted promotion” and publicity.
