| Summary: | 碩士 === 南開科技大學 === 福祉科技與服務管理所 === 100 === The subjects in the study were pre-elders who visited Chi-Tou Forest Recreation Area trails. The present study aimed to explore pre-elders preferred attributes and their satisfaction on the trail environment and facilities.Furthermore, the possible factors that influenced the results, such as the pre-elders social and economical status, difference between recreational motivations, were also studied to build up the study frame of pre-elders preference and satisfaction for the settin attributes of trails.The research methods used in the study were questionnaire survey with random samples. 473 effective questionnaires were obtained. The results were analyzed by employing descriptive statistics, t test, Chi-square analysis,one－way ANOVA analysis, Factor analysis and Cluster analysis . The results were shown as follows: （1）there were slightly more male tourists than female tourists. The ages of most of the tourists ranged from 40 to 45 Most of their educational levels were above University. Their marital status was mainly married,and most of their professions were soldiers, government employees, and teachers. （2）the results indicated that the pre-elders preferred natural setting attributes arranged in order were forest and bamboo groves. As to the preferred trail facilities, the order was pavilions or scenic terrace, and bench . In aspect of managerial attributes, it was shown that the tourists thought the most important one is the number of visitors, and the next one was the preservation of trail safety facilities. As for trail characteristics, the pre-elders preferred a virgin forest, the trails of railroad ties,and the walking distance between 1 and 2 hours.（3）in terms of the pre-elders satisfaction for the trail setting and environmental facilities, their highest satisfaction were the route plans, and the lowest satisfaction were the cleanliness of public toilets. The first kind of facility which was desperate to be increased was the bench and the second one was the pavilion. （4）it was concluded that the pre-elders social and economic status, and their recreational motivations, would affect their preferred trail setting attributes and their satisfaction for environmental facilities.
